New Metra dash kit expands custom options for BMW 3 Series (video link inside)
Holly HIll, FL - December, 2010. As one of the world’s great luxury sedans, the BMW 3 Series offers myriad options and accessories for owners to personalize their driving experience.
Now, the engineers at Metra Electronics have designed a way to install a custom sound system for the BMW 3 Series models 2006-2010 that have heated seats (for models without factory navigation systems).
The 98-9306 includes a ribbon cable and plastic housing that enables the necessary relocation of the switches for the heated seats when installing an after-market stereo using Metra’s dash kit 95-9306B. Previously, the 95-9306B kit could only be used on models that did not have heated seats.
The dash kit 95-9306B matches the car’s matte black finish and accommodates the DDIN and ISO stacked head units with Metra’s quality-engineered, seamless finish. The kit includes a DDIN trim plate, Metra’s strong DDIN mounting brackets, all the necessary hardware and easy-to-follow illustrated instructions.

For the BMW models with heated seats, a new stereo would require relocating the heated seat switches to a panel just below the radio, utilizing the new Metra kit 98-9306.
The kit includes the pocket, the heated seat switch trim panel and a wiring extension harness for an easy install.
