Metra Electronics to Launch New Integrated Electronic Dash Kits at SEMA
New Turbo2 and TurboTouch™ Kits for Ford and Lexus Vehicles
Holly Hill, FL - October 2017 – Metra Electronics® will be showcase a new Turbo2® Kit and several new TurboTouch™ Kits for select Ford and Lexus models at the 2017 SEMA Show, booth #11639 in the North Hall. Booth #35227 in the South Hall will have Metra’s off-road, powersports and truck accessories. The SEMA Show takes place in Las Vegas from October 31 - November 3.
New Turbo2® Integrated Electronic Dash Kit
A Turbo2® Kit for Ford Focus 2015 - up* models with the factory 4.2” screen features integrated electronics, with unique backlit rubber buttons that will retain the vehicle’s hazard button and lock or unlock all controls on the driver information center. The 99-5843B is for Single-DIN and Double-DIN radio installations and painted a scratch-resistant matte black.
New TubroTouch™ Integrated Electronic Dash Kits with Touchscreen
Metra’s TurboTouch™ Kits feature an integrated 4.3” touchscreen and user interface that retains and controls most climate and vehicle customization functions that are normally lost when removing the factory radio. Smart interface technology automatically detects the vehicle’s features. Steering wheel functionality is retained and the patent-pending touchscreen design also retains the factory safety features, including backup camera. TurboTouch™ Kits also feature 8 backlit buttons with more than 250 customizable color options.
Ford Flex models from 2008 - 2012 will have a black (99-5842B) or tan (99-5842T) option that is painted and textured in multiple finishes to match the factory color and appearance. Ford F-150 2013 - 2014 models with factory 4.2” screen will have a TurboTouch™ Kit that allows for installation of the radio or touchscreen in the upper or lower kit area, based on driver preference. The 99-5846B also has an integrated hazard button and passenger airbag indicator.
TurboTouch™ Kits with an integrated hazard button and passenger airbag indicator will be available for Ford Explorer 2011-2015 models with factory 4.2” screens (99-5847CH) and Ford Edge 2011 - 2014 models with 4.2” factory screens (99-5848CH).
Lexus IS 250/350 models from 2006 - 2013 and 250C/350C models from 2006 - 2015 will have a TurboTouch™ Kit, the 99-8163, that is painted silver and black for a bold but factory look. All of the new TurboTouch™ kits on display at SEMA have parts included for Single-DIN or Double-DIN installations.
